I come from a working-class family, living in a former mining village in South Yorkshire. I am a self-taught artist, and have been painting for about twenty years .
I would describe my work as honest when I paint I have no idea what the image will be, and sometimes that image can be disturbing.
I have always liked the work of artist like Dali and Piccaso, but as child of the seventies my main influences are people like pink Floyd and David Bowie. I also have a love of sci/fi, which sometimes come through in my work.
